In the Fall of 2012 I finally hit rock bottom with my weight. I had always been a skinny teenager and thought that would never change, but after an abusive relationship that wore down my self esteem, I became depressed and stopped caring what I looked like. I was basically abusing my body with inactivity, stress and too much junk food. It was so hard to stick to something for the long-haul and I had tried Weight Watchers, joining a gym, yoga, walking but nothing worked or kept me motivated.
One day I stumbled on juicing which I thought seemed great but personally I gained weight from it even though I do love Joe Cross and it might work for some people it didn’t work for me.
After much research I stumbled onto the Paleo diet and read tons of information on the lifestyle and studies and decided that after all the books and theories I read, THIS made more sense than anything I had ever come across. I immediately started losing weight and in three months I lost 20 pounds with barely any exercise! Now that I have started to incorporate exercise, the rest of that weight came off and I have no cravings at all. I went from eating blueberry pop tarts for breakfast to veggie Omlette’s, and from three cokes a day to lemon water and so much more!
I didn’t realize till my 40’s how to really eat well, but now I am looking forward to using the next years of my life helping other people realize the huge benefits from this way of life.
